Redline Speedway Victory!

By | News | No Comments
The Aranyosi Motorsport Team took the short drive up to Redline raceway in Ballarat to contest the second last round of the Maxim Printing sponsored Stampede Series. In our first heat we started out of position 7 on the inside row, the track had a lot of grip and our car was setup up slightly too tight. We were a little bit slower then we could have been but still managed to pass cars to finish the race in 3rd position. For the second heat we made a few changes to the car to free it up, as the track...

Sprintcar Experience

By | News | No Comments
Victorian Formula 500 racer James Aranyosi had the opportunity to experience Sprintcar racing recently, thanks to the generosity of well respected Sprintcar driver Domain Ramsay. Domain generously offered the prize ride to the highest placed Victorian Formula 500 driver who contested the 2013/2014 Victorian Formula 500 Speedweek Series. Originally intended for a Speedcar drive, the prize was switched to a Sprintcar drive due to logistical challenges and scheduling conflicts. Domain’s history in Speedway has seen him compete in several divisions both in Australia and the United States with infectious enthusiasm. His passion for the sport in all its forms is...

Mount Gambier

By | News | No Comments
After an average finish to the previous Srtampede round and Wangaratta Speedway, The Aranyosi Motorsport Team which was a much reduced crew, due to other commitments, headed to Mt Gambier to try and redeem ourselves. We were event 5 to come out onto the track, which allowed us to look at the track before making adjustments to the car to suit what looked liked was starting to go black. Once we got onto the track and done some hotlaps, soon realized that it had a lot more grip then first thought. The car was very tight but we started out...

Simvegas!

By | News | No Comments
After a busy Speedweek Series we had a week off after the Victorian State title was called off and were now ready to run at Simpson Speedway for the SimVagas Nationals. Tonight we had 3 heats and a final rather then only the 2 heats. This means that we all had a front, middle and a rear starting position. In the first heat we started out of 5th position. The track wasn’t too bad but was pretty fast which made it hard to pass. We tried a few difference lines which cost us in the end, falling back into 7th...

Speedweek Round 5 Simpson Speedway

By | News | No Comments
The Aranyosi Motorsport team headed to the second last round of the Speedweek Series, with cloudy skies above and rain threatening it was going to be a grueling effort to be able to run a complete race meeting. Going into this round we were leading the series by just 1 point! In our first heat we started out of position 5 on the inside row on a very heavy track.
